Bangkok’s MRT Caught Fire Sunday. Then It Reopened Monday.

THE MRT CAUGHT FIRE AT TAO POON ON SUNDAY. ALL BLUE LINE SERVICES WERE SHUT DOWN. THEN IT WAS BACK BY MONDAY MORNING.

An electrical short circuit hit the MRT Blue Line between Tao Poon and Bang Pho stations around 12:30PM Sunday, damaging power and signaling equipment. BEM suspended Blue Line service, while passengers were evacuated and crews began working on the affected systems. No injuries were reported. The Mass Rapid Transit Authority said the problem involved sparks from a 750-volt DC power system, while BEM crews worked through the night to repair the damage and test the system before reopening.

And they got it done. Normal service resumed at all stations at 5:37AM Monday, meaning Tuesday commuters do not need to make special arrangements or switch to buses, taxis or Grab. The shutdown lasted long enough to cause major disruption Sunday, but the system was fully inspected and returned to normal before the start of the workweek. If you saw warnings about Blue Line restrictions yesterday, those are now out of date.

Bottom line: The MRT Blue Line had a serious electrical incident Sunday, but it is fully back to normal. If you're riding through Tao Poon or Bang Pho today, there are no special restrictions to worry about.

Job security has emerged as the biggest AI concern in Thai social-media discussions, accounting for 33.35% of AI-related concerns analyzed by RealWatch Lab. Concerns about reliability and accuracy came second at 30.96%. The analysis looked at 26,399 public social-media posts about AI between January and August, including discussions from both AI users and non-users.

That distinction matters: 33.35% does not mean one in three Thai workers personally believes AI will take their job. It means about one-third of the AI-related concerns identified in the analysis were about job security and possible replacement. Thai users are also worried about AI giving incorrect answers, wider economic and social effects, and people becoming too dependent on the technology. So while AI adoption is growing quickly, the conversation in Thailand is not simply excitement about new tools. A lot of people are also asking what happens to their jobs when those tools get better.

Bottom line: Job security is currently the biggest AI concern showing up in Thai social media, at 33.35% of the concerns analyzed. Reliability is close behind at 30.96%. The numbers show a country embracing AI while also trying to figure out what it means for workers.

Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:

After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.

The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
