Confirmed on Saturday that the government will complete the common-ticket rules and revenue-sharing arrangements by November, begin EMV contactless testing in December, and launch the full unified fare system on January 1, 2027. The system will allow passengers to tap a single payment card across the BTS, MRT Blue Line, MRT Purple Line, Airport Rail Link and SRT Red Line without buying separate tickets for each network. The maximum fare for any journey across the combined system will be capped at ฿45.
